Retroactive to November 29th 2016, The GM VFD changed status with the IRS from 501(c)(4) to 501(c)(3). This is a very important for us because it opens doors for significantly more Tax deductible contributions than we have had in the past. In addition to the direct contributions which can still be done, now you can contribute via Community Foundations which was not possible before. Please keep this in mind as we approach the year end philanthropy season. We have no shortage of needs: Funding EMT training (culminating this month) and a new building to house our Brush Truck (SR-13) and our Medical Response Vehicle (Medic-13) just to name a few.
